A Lifelong Explorer
Judith is an author and a retired university professor and personal and professional development coach. She received her Ph.D. in Social Work and taught in a Civic Engagement Program as well as Social Work. She will graduate again with an MFA in Creative Writing--Fiction and Non-Fiction in June 2025. Judith began her lifelong reading and library obsession by the age of 5 and began writing poetry and short stories out of an excess of emotions and hormones at the age of thirteen.

She enjoys living in two communities, Anchorage, Alaska and Central New York with her husband, Brian and their Shiba Inu, Kira. She spends most of the year in Alaska cross-country skiing, hiking, fat tire biking summer and winter, and fishing and shrimping on Prince William Sound. In Central New York, they visit six grandchildren and their sailboat, Petrel, who waits patiently each year to be taken out on Lake Ontario and put through the ropes.

Traveling is the lifeblood for this writer, and Judith continues to add to the countries she has visited: Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Ireland, Norway, and The Netherlands (so far).
